Hi I want to tell you the turning point of a match played between Pakistan and India in 1999 it was the first test match of the series and in the second innings India was going nicely due to Sachin Tendulkar, when last 50 runs were left then Mongia got out and India lost their 6th wicket. After Mongia, Tendulkar carried on and took India near victory only 16 runs away but at that time Saqlain Mushtaq got the wicket of Tendulkar and after that Pakistan wrapped the match within next 15 minutes. To me that wicket of Tendulkar was the main thing which mattered in the end for Pakistan.

In 1999 World Cup match between Pakistan and Australia at Headingly (Leads), the turning point of the match was the wicket of Steve Waugh. Steve Waugh was bold by Shoaib Akhtar when he was on 49 from 66 balls.

The match between Pakistan and India in the World Cup 2003 when Abdul Razzaq dropped the catch of Sachin is the turning point of the match, the match which India won easily in the end.

Turning in Australia vs Pakistan match in World Cup 2003 was that after taking 5 quick wickets early in the match Pakistan took the match to lightly by not attacking which gave Symonds a chance to settle down and that was the turning point of the match.

I think the turning point of the Pak vs Aus game in the world cup was when Andrew Symonds came in and made his career best of 140. The problem with Pakistan is if another team has 3 wickets down in the first 15 overs or so, they think that they have won the match! Australia were 54/4 and Pakistan thought that they had the game under control, so when they eased up, Symonds took advantage and made Australia win! Even thought I am a huge Pakistan supporter, I have to admit that Australia is the greatest team there is......they just never give up!

The turning point for Indian Cricket is the fast bowling attack (an oxymoron for Indian cricket for ages). We never possessed such artillery and I pray I see the day when we have 5 bowlers, 3 genuine quickies and 2 spinners with one of them an all-rounder. The day that happens, India shall win test matches abroad consistently. (Winning Test matches is more important that ODIs any day).

World Cup 2003 Finals: India vs. Australia, the turning point was Sehwag’s run out.

Mohsin Mazhar (www.cricketnext.com)
In the semi final of World Cup 1999 when Klusener was batting so well against Australia with South Africa needing only 1 run to win the semi final, but unfortunately Allan Donald the last man got him run out. I think that was the turning point of that match.

To me, the test match played between Pakistan and India at Chennai was a beauty. Firstly, when Shahid Afridi of Pakistan was batting, it looked as if Pakistanis are going to dominate it but when Sachin Tendulkar came to the crease, he really played like a true champion and turned the match in India's favour. When he got out to off spinner Saqlain Mustaq's 5th ball after hitting four boundaries, India just needed thirty odd runs to win with four wickets in hand. But all of them fell prey to Saqlain's tremendous bowling, allowing Pakistan to win by seven runs. To me, the wicket of little master was the turning point........or good bowling of Saqlain at right time.......u never know.

Hi! The India - NZ match hung by the proverbial thread with three of the best Indian batters back in the pavilion and Shane Bond operating at his fiery best. All eyes were on Dravid, the wall, cool as a cucumber edge to the keeper Brendon McCullum who has not dropped many catches. But it was India's luck he took the eyes off the ball and dropped the regulation catch. He probably celebrated a wee bit early. This was the turning point and then Kaif did the rest with Dravid, not worried about the life offered to him.

I will take you to the 1992 World Cup Final where I think the dismissal of Alan Lamb (England) by Wasim Akram(Pakistan) (one of the best one day deliveries I have seen), was the turning point.

The turning point in the match between Pakistan and South Africa at Durban was when a guy named Jonty Rhodes met a guy named Shaun Pollock at the crease because then the Pakistani attack became toothless and they both managed to lift SA out of trouble with a 99 run partnership off 99 balls, and Pakistani's never being good chasers, slumped. Before the partnership, things were going well, early dismissals, 86-4 and then 143-5 which was not that good a score till then....

The turning point in the TVS cup finals which held recently between India and Australia on 18th November was the dismissal of "LITTLE MASTER" Sachin Tendulkar. Because after him, Yuvraj, who was a poor player of spin bowling, couldn't have stayed there for a long time and for Hemang Badani, it's his first match in the series. Though he played some good confident strokes, he played a risky sweep shot at a crucial time, which he shouldn't have done. After his dismissal, the big Indian tail followed due to the exclusion of Mohammad Kaif (rather due to the inclusion of Avishkar Salvi, which is the worst selection in the finals of a series), which could not even provide a milliohm of resistance under any situation.

Hello Turning Point is a feature of almost all the matches played on the field and in fact a part of our life. A big big match was played between two arch rivals on 1st of March 2003, yes between Pakistan and India. When Waqar Younis took two consecutive wickets, the match tilted in Pakistan’s favor, remember India was chasing a very reasonable total of around 270. But what Abdur Razzaq dropped the catch of Sachin Tendulkar. Oooooops and India took away the match.

sanjay mittal (www.cricketnext.com)
Match played b/w NZ and India in Super Six stage in World Cup 2003 - turning point was Rahul Dravid dropped by Brendon McCullum, when India were struggling at 22-3
